First movement of Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor with Hannah Che, winner of PYSO Concerto Competition.
Finale from Mahler Symphony No. 1, Mozart Overture to the Abduction from the Seraglio, and PSO Alumni joing us for a side-by-side performance of St. Saens Bacchanale from Samson and Delilah.
April 23, 2013 - Special Collaborative Concert at Heinz Hall: "Celebrating the Next Generation".
Featuring the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra with instrumental and vocal ensembles from Duquesne University and Carnegie Mellon University.
Program will include music of Mahler, Theofanidis, Kodaly, Budavari, and Schmidt.

PYSO Chamber Orchestra and Small Ensembles on the Tiffany Concert Series - "Sunday Afternoon Baroque" at Calvary United Methodist Church on the North Side. Program included Handel's Water Music Suite and Wachet Auf (Sleepers Awake) by Bach. Ticket proceeds benefitted the Allegheny Historic Preservation Society and the restoration/preservation of the original Tiffany windows in Calvary United Methodist Church.
